Ookla continues to track 5G

Ookla launched the Ookla 5G Map™ in May 2019 to present a full picture of the global expansion of 5G. At that time there were 300 deployments across 17 countries. The 5G Map grew into a resource that included 233 providers with over 145,000 deployments in 142 countries. Now that 5G is so fully present in so many places, we’re shifting our focus to other analyses, including spotlights on the latest emerging technologies and markets where connectivity is falling behind.
